The LISST-Tau has been tested on several autonomous profiling glider deployments. The figure shows beam-c data collected by the LISST-Tau over a four and half day glider deployment. 24,000 measurements from more than 20 profiles down to 960 m are shown. Dashed lines indicate the location of the individual profiles in the plots below. The data show a classic vertical structure, with a spike in beam-c around 50 m, corresponding to the deep chlorophyll maximum. Between 50 m and 600 m, the LISST-Tau resolves the same small (<0.02 m-1) vertical features on the downcast and upcast. Beam-c values measured in the clear waters below 600 m demonstrate the stability of LISST-Tau measurements over time and pressure.
