Q: I think that I have a problem with my data and/or my data processing and would like you to have a look at them – can you do that? What data do I need to send to you?
A: We’ll be happy to look at your data and help you figure out what is going on – that is a part of the support you get when you purchase a LISST instrument. For LISST-100 or LISST-100X data we ALWAYS need the following from you:
The raw data (the file(s) with either a .DAT or a .LOG extension). PLEASE NOTE: THE .PSD FILES GENERATED BY THE LISST SOP ARE **NOT** RAWDATA FILES. THEY ARE FULLY PROCESSED FILES. DO NOT SEND US .PSD FILES – WE CANNOT USE THESE FOR ANY TROUBLESHOOTING. WE CAN ONLY HELP YOU IF YOU SEND US .DAT AND/OR .LOG FILES.
The zscat file you used for processing your data (.asc extension).
The serial number of the instrument you are using.
If you are returning data from more than one instrument, please send them in separate emails, with data from only one instrument in each email, and the subject line clearly indicating instrument type and serial number. Email the data to your local Sequoia distributor, together with a detailed explanation of what you were doing and how the data were collected. If you purchased the instrument directly from Sequoia, email the data to info@SequoiaSci.com.
PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT USE THE .PSD or .ASC DATA FILES PRODUCED BY THE LISST-SOP FOR TROUBLESHOOTING – DO NOT INCLUDE THESE IN YOUR EMAIL. WE CAN ONLY HELP YOU IF YOU SUPPLY THE INFORMATION LISTED IN 1-3 ABOVE.
