Update – Stranded Sequoia Seedlings

May 20, 2020

Due to  Covid-19 virus travel restrictions and event cancellations, we had 80 sequoia seedlings stranded in Germany earlier this year! Kind people were very quick to step up and offer these baby trees home when we posted our predicament to social media. Thanks to the hard work of Verena Dauben in Germany, most of these trees have been shipped out to their new homes, and we have loved seeing update pictures from their new families. Sequoias grow very fast, and we’re excited to see progress pictures down the road! Email us how your tree is doing or tag it with #MyTree or #SequoiaSci25 to spread some cheer!

This week, some of the tree that were shipped out have been returned, due to incorrect addresses. We’re currently trying to figure out how to get these trees to their prospective homes – if you think one of these trees may be one you’ve been waiting on, please let me know or email me at lenab@sequoiasci.com. Thank you!
