Sequoia Scientific

Reorganization at Sequoia

October 29, 2013

As of 24 October, 2013 the following staff changes have become effective at Sequoia Scientific, Inc.. Chuck Pottsmith, our veteran VP of Technology has switched over to the role of VP of Sales and Market Development. This position was held earlier by Dr Ole Mikkelsen, who has returned to his native Denmark. Dr. Mikkelsen will remain affiliated with Sequoia as a Technology Advisor, and he will coordinate the upcoming PiE 2014 Conference from Europe.

Chuck Pottsmith is known to most of you who have interacted with us at Sequoia. He is one of the two founding members of the company together with President, Yogi Agrawal. Chuck packs all the knowledge of LISST instruments in one man. He will apply this knowledge in the growth of Sequoia next. He will remain available for the really tough problems in customer support that no one else can solve.

David Dana returns to Sequoia as our new VP of Engineering and Production. After working here as Senior Engineer in the late 90’s David left to serve for 16 years as Chief Engineer of HOBI Labs, Inc.  David is rapidly acquiring knowledge, especially from Chuck, to take over all responsibility for new developments as well as for existing instrument systems. David’s expertise covers the full range of instrumentation engineering – optics, electronics, mechanical, firmware and software. We are excited to have him join our team again.

While we will miss Ole, to all of you users of LISST instruments and technology, we want to assure you that you will receive seamless support from our team. Thanks for your business!

Yogi Agrawal,  President
