PiA – Particles in the Americas

What is PiA?

PiA is a bi-annual conference on the measurement, monitoring, impact, and managing of in situ particle size and sediment concentration in the aquatic environment. The PiA meetings are sponsored by Sequoia, and organized by Sequoia and a local organizer somewhere in North or South America. The conference typically lasts four days, with a field-trip on day two.

The first PiA conference was held in Vitoria, Brazil, jointly with ENES.

The second PiA conference will be held in Cuzco, Peru, 1-4 June 2020. It will be a great opportunity for intimate exchange of knowledge and forming partnerships.
