#OiConnect Off to a Great Start!

December 3, 2020

This week, Dr. Ole MikkelsenJim DeckerGino Washington, and Lena Badicke have been enjoying Oceanology International’s virtual conference #OiConnect. Oceanology International has been the world’s largest ocean technology exhibition and conference for over 50 years. While 2020 has put large barriers on international travel and conferences, it’s been exciting watching these challenges be overcome through networking and sharing information on virtual platforms. OiConnect is expected to have an audience of about 6,000 attendees involved in exploring, monitoring, developing and protecting the world’s oceans, from seabed to surface and beyond. Visitors will benefit from video demonstrations, 121 meetings, industry led speed networking, interactive seminars and industry leading content including Catch The Next Wave and Ocean Futures Forum. Sequoia has greatly enjoyed manning our virtual booth, attending seminars, and networking on Oceanology International’s virtual platform.

Next week we are eager to attend American Geophysical Union‘s virtual fall meeting. Though Sequoia will be in active attendance exhibiting next week, AGU has already kicked off! There’s still time to register here! Check out some scheduled events below. And don’t worry if you’ve missed any already – most events are recorded and accessible at later times!
