The PiE organizing committee is pleased to announce that the PiE 2014 keynote speakers have been confirmed: Professor Daniel Hanes from St. Louis University, USA and Professor Colin Jago from Bangor University, UK.

Outside of PiE, the SW part of Denmark has a lot to offer. For the nature lover the Wadden Sea National Park with unspoiled landscapes, birds and seals. For the kid in you, the original Legoland Billund is a 40 minute drive away (http://www.legoland.dk/en/ ). And for the history buffs: Esbjerg (http://www.visitesbjerg.dk/ln-int/esbjerg/esbjerg-tourist ) is Denmark’s youngest city, created after Denmark’s defeat to Germany in 1864, but Denmark’s oldest city – Ribe – founded by the Vikings in year 704 is a mere 20 minute drive away (http://www.visitribe.com/ln-int/ribe/ribe-tourist-information-about-oldest-town-denmarks ).
For up-to-date information about PiE, check out the PiE website at https://www.sequoiasci.com/about/pie/ – and don’t forget to share this email with those of your colleagues that you could be interested in attending the meeting.
Cheers – and see you in Denmark in October!
