Hyper-bb package delivered to Finland!
Joonas Virtasalo with Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) has taken delivery of the Hyper-bb instrument produced by Sequoia. This submersible hyperspectral backscatter instrument allows for measurements of spectral backscattering over the wavelength range 430 nm to 700 nm. The complete delivered package includes a flow-through chamber for laboratory operation, a large external battery, calibration tank and product technical training.
Joonas states, “We will use the instrument to characterize the composition of suspended particles in estuarine waters at Pohjanpitäjänlahti in South Finland. The aim is to distinguish between organic matter and different types of mineral particles. The Hyper-bb will be used simultaneously with a LISST-100X.”
